Yesterday grade 5 travelled to the Hong Kong Science Museum to see a special Leonardo da Vinci exhibition. Our current unit is Where We Are In Place and Time and we have been researching inventions that are important to us today. Leonardo da Vinci was an incredible inventor and it was great to see many of of his inventions close up and realise how many amazing ideas he had. There were hundreds of shops to choose from with an endless supply of materials and prices. All groups ended up under their 100 HKD budget and fulfilled all their requirements. It was great to hear the bargaining techniques as the students negotiated deals with the shop owners. Many thanks to all the parents who came along as well. Today we started researching Chinese costumes for our upcoming fashion show. We will be putting our research onto a wiki Chinese Clothing Wiki and practicing good research skills. Remember topic + focus.
